                |  Dear wheelchair users, we have tried hard to create the Knappenwelt as barrier-free as possible. For reasons concerning the authenticity of medieval mining, it has been impractical for all parts and features of the exhibition; mostly due to the difficult terrain, high steps an narrow (bathroom) doors. Of course a visit to the Knappenwelt can be done with asstiance, many parts of the exhibition are accessible with some help, the surrounding area/landscape can be seen as wheelchair-friendly and in about 200 m distance you can find a nice local restaurant providing an adequate toilet für wheelchair users. So even if we cannot offer perfect conditions for you we would be pleased to have you and your assistant as our visitors. Please note that the entrance for wheelchair users is free!
